Cookie Policy
Version 1 · Effective: October 15, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies ferrantelawfirm.com uses, why, for how long, and how you control them. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, pixels and scripts that read information from your device, work in comparable ways. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them. They can be:
- strictly necessary, because the website cannot work, or cannot provide a service you asked for, without them;
- analytics, which measure how visitors use a website;
- marketing, which track visitors across websites to measure or personalize advertising.
They can be first-party, set by the website you visit, or third-party, set by another company; and they can last for a session or for a set period.
2. The rules we follow
We follow Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC), Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, the Italian data protection authority’s guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools (Linee guida cookie e altri strumenti di tracciamento, 2021), the GDPR, and the U.S. state laws described in our Privacy Policy. In practice:
- strictly necessary technologies do not require consent, and we list them below;
- every other cookie is used only after you consent, and only for the categories you accept;
- refusing is as easy as accepting, and closing the banner with the “×” counts as refusing;
- scrolling or continuing to browse is never treated as consent;
- we do not use cookie walls: the whole website is available whatever you choose.
3. What we use
This is the complete list of technologies our website uses. All of them are first-party and strictly necessary. None of them is shared with anyone, and none is used to identify or track you.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
flf-cookie-choice | Local storage, strictly necessary | Records your choice in the cookie banner and the date, so the website can respect it | 12 months | Ferrante (this website) |
flf-a11y | Local storage, strictly necessary | Remembers the accessibility options you select (text size, contrast, link underlining, spacing, motion). Set only if you use them | Until you reset them or clear your browser’s storage | Ferrante (this website) |
| Category | Consent | Technologies currently in use |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Not required | The two items above |
| Analytics | Required | None |
| Marketing | Required | None |
Our fonts, images and video are served from our own hosting. Visiting our website does not send information about you to font, video, analytics or advertising providers. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, as described in sections 5 and 13 of our Privacy Policy.
Before we add any technology, we will add it to the tables above with its provider, purpose, duration and, for third-party technologies, a link to the provider’s privacy policy, and we will ask for your consent again where it requires consent.
4. How consent works
- On your first visit, a banner offers Accept all, Reject all and Customize, which lets you choose category by category. The “×” closes the banner and rejects optional cookies.
- Until you accept, no optional technology runs.
- We store your choice for 12 months in
flf-cookie-choice. After that, or if our use of cookies changes, we ask again. If you reject, we do not ask again for at least six months, unless our use of cookies changes or the record of your choice has been deleted. - If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of optional cookies, even if you click Accept.
5. Managing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the website will keep working, but it will ask for your cookie choice again.
6. Third parties
No third party sets cookies or similar technologies through our website. If that changes, each third party will be listed in section 3 with a link to its own privacy policy, and it will run only with your consent.
7. Changes and contact
We update this policy whenever the technologies on our website change. The version and effective date at the top show the latest update. The controller is identified in section 2 of our Privacy Policy, which also explains your rights and how to complain to the Garante. For questions, or to exercise your rights, write to info@ferrantelawfirm.com or see our Privacy Policy.
